It's on!!!!

So, Neil, Mike and I iron out the details of our syndicate which basically comes down to shared bankrolls. Any profit or loss we make is evened out at the end of the month with the only variations being live events which we've qualified for. Whoever makes a live event takes 50% of what they make with the other two receiving 25% each. Basically we're looking to turn over enough to be profitable whilst playing as many satellites as we can to get a big cash scoop.

Anyway, my new laptop arrived on Monday as stated but I got off to a bit of a slow start poker wise, two main problems with it. One; I was out Sunday for a meal and then went to the casino and got decently drunk and gambled away some of my profit. There was no poker on, just casino games which sucked. Two; I installed World of Warcraft.

I don't know what you know about World of Warcraft (WoW) but I've been putting off playng it because I didn't like the look of it and it's life consuming by all accounts. I can now tell you it looks pretty good and it is life consuming. Luckily I only bought the 14 day trial so I'll only have another week of playing. I don't really have time to be playing it and resent paying £10 a month, so more serious poker to come. Besides which I've got Rise of Legends, Neverwinter Nights 2 and Dawn of War expansions to play.

Anyway, things got off to a relatively flying start with Neil scooping a handful of satellites, but I'll wait for his report to tell that exactly. Mike never really played anything until I got him to play in the Punter's Lounge $2 freeze out for me. It started at 8pm on Thursday and I don't finish work until 9:30pm.

So Mike goes out at 9pm because he has to pick up the Mrs. and messages me over MSN saying he's away out. So I rush home and get the pc fired up for 9:45 and get logged in. I'm confronted by 2 windows popping up, one I'm heads up in and the other's a full table. I have no idea what's going on. Anyway MSN pops up with Neil and Mike in it going "Baz!". Turns out Mike was HU in a satellite to the $5k added and was in another satellite to the $20k gtd.

Like I say I have no idea what's happening and Neil and Mike are shouting at me so I turn off Messenger and try and calm down. Anyway, I get nowhere and they shout at me some more. Regardless I finished 32nd or so in the PL game and am about £22 down.

I play a couple of $10 rebuy games but get nowhere so give up. Grind out a level in WoW. Finish the day about £50 down. Not the most inspiring start from my side of the team.
